     What Does Dancing Like David Mean?

Our name references 2 Samuel 6:14- “David danced before the Lord with all his might.” David was praising God for all he had been through, and for God’s graciousness to him and his people.

Life today is hard, it’s hectic, it’s stressed, but God is in control, and He should be praised for all the blessings we do have.

 

What Is Dancing Like David?

Dancing like David's is a non-profit enterprise aimed at redeeming secular events for God’s Glory. We desire to provide a social gathering for Christians. 

We are not just for singles; make us your “date night”.  The events are focused around music, fun, fellowship, and food.

 

Do I Have To Dance?

No. However, there is music and a dance floor if you choose to dance.

It’s a Party!

 

 

What Kind Of Music Will I Hear?

Usually, if it has a Contemporary Christian flavor, more than likely we will play it.  Examples- Toby Mac/Kirk Franklin/Crystal Lewis/Skillet/Selah/Barlow Girl/Vickie Winans/Stacie Orrico/CeeCee Winans/Carmen/Big Daddy Weave/Marvin Sapp/Israel/Supertones/Fred Hammond/Salvador. FOR “B-A-ROCK FEST ‘09”, the genre is rock!

 

 

What Does It Cost ? (B-A-ROCK FEST ‘09 is FREE!)

The admission donation helps to defray the costs of facilities rental, food, security, advertising and marketing, DJ, and administrative cost (Dee’s gas). For November’s event admission is FREE. Donations will be accepted and will be use to further DLD missions.

Where Is Dancing Like David Located?

Our events are nomadic and held in community centers throughout Orange County.

 

 

MISSION STATEMENT

Dancing Like David's mission is to redeem secular activities for the Body of Christ by hosting Praise parties to foster worship as a lifestyle. We are committed to glorifying and honoring God by applying the Gospel to every area of life. Our primary vehicle to do this is to showcase local up and coming musicians. We promote them who promote Him! The Bible says, "Let us continually [not just when you feel like it!] offer the sacrifice of praise to God...giving thanks to His name."  (Hebrews 13:15 NKJV ) The Bible is our roadmap and guide.
